Landscrapes were painted across 2008-2009—most are paintings but screen prints are also included.
These paintings presented many moments of struggle for me. They speak about juxtapositions – especially those represented metaphorically by landforms. On the one hand there are those forms that are part of the natural order. On the other hand there are landforms that people have configured, no doubt with an intention of promoting harmony. The forms present contradictions that express some kind of striving for a sense of synergy.
