This series focusses on the Parapara, the hills surrounding Whanganui and the Whanganui awa. In this series I attempt to convey some somewhat realistic impressions, albeit romantic, of the hills and their feminine forms portrayed against skyscapes which accentuate their forms.
Underpinning this series is an attempt to use the landscapes as metaphors of hope as well as an expression of eternalness, encapsulated in tikanga Māori and Christian worldviews.
